Tuesday oct 16: session schedule

Tuesday 8:30-9:45: Keynote Opening and Operational Excellence

 John Howard II and Patti Nowak will team up to tell the story of how they successfully leveraged Operational Excellence strategy to an existing Plex implementation to improve customer satisfaction, increase profitability and reduce waste.  John will cover the basic OpX process while Patti integrates the activities in Plex that helped him achieve his goals.   In this keynote, you'll learn techniques you can take back to your company to help you roll out all the new Plex tips you pick up during the event! 

Tuesday 10-12: Workflows: 2 Hour Session with Real World Example

Come prepared to roll up your sleeves with Albie Bell!  This 2-hour session will cover Integrated workflows in PLEX from the most basic of business process to the tools to allow you to get fancy.  By the end of the session, you will be on your way for having a new workflow written to take home with you.    Please bring your laptop and your PLEX brain.      

Tuesday 10-11: New Custom Fields in Plex

Dan Mullins will review the new Custom Fields capability in Plex, including how   to enable them, where they can be leveraged within the system, and how to   report on them. Additionally, he will provide a demonstration on how to load   custom field data using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and the Developer   APIs.    

Tuesday 11-12: IntelliPlex 2.0

Veronica Meyer and  Manu Ravichandran will review the new IntelliPlex 2.0, discussing the new options and capabilities.    

Tuesday 1-2: Carsley Integration Session

Join John Vigilante of Carsley and Associates! Demo Flavor Studio integration with Plex. We'll show recipe creation in Plex with ingredients and processing. This integration will save hours of manual effort!   

Tuesday 1-2: EDI Roundtable Discussion

This will be an open ended, round table discussion led by Veronica Meyer of Control+M Solutions.  Bring your questions, concerns and thoughts!

Tuesday 2-3: Actual vs. Standard Costing

Chris Dodson from Control+M Solutions will take you through the Plex costing options and show you how you can deploy Job Actual Costing to see Gross Profit and Standard to Actual dollar based comparisons, and ways of utilizing pure Actual Costing.

Tuesday 2-3: Organizational Change Management

Vicki Beltran from Pacur will be helping you learn Organizational Change Management techniques that can help you bring your great Plex ideas to life, by identifying change resistance signs and helping your team get past them.

Tuesday 3-4: Capacity Planning-Including Labor

Patti Nowak will review the Capacity Plan, discussing demand methods (Jobs, forecast, releases), settings within the capacity plan that will show labor requirements, setting labor thresholds, starting windows and leveraging workcenter group and types to get the most out of the module.

Tuesday 3-4: Cella Technologies - Eliminating Downtime Waiting for Material

Learn how Cella Technologies helps discrete and process manufacturers eliminate downtime waiting for material by connecting operations directly to their materials support.

Tuesday 4-5: Carsley Optic AI Solution

Michael McCormick will demo a customer solution that uses the Carsley Artificial Intelligence engine (Optic AI) to automate the manual order entry and order validation process into Plex.     

Tuesday 4-5: HR Training Module: Methods of Deployment, Simple vs Advanced

Albie Bell will explore the UX training module, in to possible configurations. Much like many parts of PLEX, the training module can be setup with the right about of “squeeze” to match the “juice”   your company needs from it. We will   cover a setup that has skills assigned from training courses (the more   complicated) and one that has training records without the added layers of skills.    

WEDNESDAY oct 17: session schedule

Wednesday 8-9: 25 Free Tips and Tricks to get More out of Plex

In this general session, Shannon Hadley will cover 25 tips and tricks to get more out of Plex. We're talking about Plex features you already own, that you can deploy yourself that will likely save you and your users time!    

Wednesday 8-9: Process Steps in Production - New Module!

Ken Keller will dive deep into the NEW Process Steps/Guided Work Instructions module, sharing tips for enabling, configuring, executing, and reporting of these new Plex features.  For process steps shown on the control panel, he will demo usage of key process steps features, such as images, attachments, and checksheet   completion by process step. Finally, Ken will demonstrate process steps analysis and real-time process step completion reporting.       

Wednesday 9-10: New Tooling Screens

Heidi from Stecker Machine will demonstrate how the new Tool Loading process was the final piece needed to launch UX Control Panel on their Shop floor. This session will include settings, actions, permission needed for Tool Loading as well as a Live Demo of Tool Loading/Unload, Validation for Production, and some Q & A.

Wednesday 9-10: Quality Checksheets Made Simple

Ken will present a simple, stress-free methodology for construction of standalone, audit, and in-process inspections, with resultant statistical process control. Follow along with Ken as he provides simple solutions for data   migration, execution of quality inspections, and use of standard Plex tools for quality data analysis. Quality doesn’t have to be complex or difficult!    

Wednesday 10-11: Effective Communication with Customer Care

 Patti Nowak will review successful methods of communication with Customer care to help the Plex case team understand and fix your Plex issues more quickly. 

Wednesday 10-11: Preparing Your PCN for Next Year

In this session Ken Keller will cover the critical steps required to get your Plex PCN in   shape for next year, looking at things like calendars, contact information etc. Think of this as your annual Plex housekeeping!    

Wednesday 11-12: Closing Ceremony including a Look into the Future

At our closing session, Justin Griffith and Chris Vaidean from Rockwell Automation will be talking about the great future of Plex at Rockwell Automation.  Afterward, Patti and Ken will talk about the future of this event and award event prizes.  Be sure not to miss this great ceremony!
